    Buying a mini dv camcorder: Sony pcr-9/110 or Canon elura2

    Kicking the tires at mini dv camcorders and narrowed it down to the Sony pcr-9/pcr-110 and Canon elura2...I'll save you the long list of specs but both have similar features/prices...and I do want a small size camera...anyone have an opinion on which camera is the better choice?

    I have not kept up with specs for about 2 years, adn I own a JVC digitial Mini Cam. While I only spent $700 US, it is very nice. But, had I had lots more money, the Cannon would have been my first choice. I understand it may have a additional/seperate mic input jack, and is also able to do direct MPEG recording. But, they were very expensive, at least a couple years back.
