Hi - I've got a mpeg1 from one of my CD that has a few broken GOPs. Does anyone know an editor that will let me cut the bad part out and generate a new mpeg without recompressing? I've tried editing with tmpgenc using mpeg tools - merge and cut, but it won't see past the bad GOPs.

Try Womble mpeg-vcr. It costs a few bucks for MPEG2 capabilities, but the MPEG1 functionality is free as far as I know and it does not recompress the video. It's also lightning fast.
