  • I need a new Case!!

Well I should be putting together a new Computer in about 2 months. I currently have a Acer HX45 case that I'm using. I want to get something bigger, but I'm stuck to only getting something that can be only 2-3 inches taller then the HX45 due to the way my desk is set up. I want to have at least 4 5 1/4 drive slots and 2 3 1/2 drive slots for the good old floppy and zip drive. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to be running an T-bird so I'm going to need a good PS also!

Take a look at the Chieftec offerings. In my opinion they make very nice cases.

I have the Chieftec TX103 myself and I thik it's wonderful.

      On the expensive end...

http://www.addtronics.com/ - This is what my rig currently resides in. It's a very nice case that uses nice heavy steel instead of cheap thin aluminum, which also makes them rather heavy. They have an easy pull of front that has a dust filter to help keep your insides clean. The side are swing out doors. The motherboard backplane is a slide out design that includes the PCI backplane, so you don't haft to pull all your AGP/PCI/ISA devices out when you want to tweak anything on the baord...i.e. put a new cooler ont he CPU.

http://www.addtronics.com/ - They have some cool cases as well. The Tornado 3000 is very nice indeed. The fact that you can order it with 2 x 120 mm fans that blow air directly onto the AGP/PCI bus and motherboard is damn cool. One of my coworkers has the same case (not from 3DCool witht the fans though) and he really likes it.

If you don't feel like shelling out $150 for a case...a generic EnLight will always work.

I'm thinking of going for Lian-Li's PC60 Aluminum case. Although for $175 quite expensive, but all the reviewers have loved it. http://www.thecardcooler.com
