audio pops in video files

I capture TV with my Marvel G200 using AVI_IO or VirtualDub, Huffyuv, and PCM audio. Everything is fine when I capture, but playing back the file there is a lot of audio popping. It doesn't seem to change with capturing at a lower audio setting. Any ideas how to correct this?
