  • G450 Retail vs. OEM

What are the hardware differences of Matrox G450 Retail vs. the OEM version?

  • #2
Just looking quickly at the Matrox site, I see the 450 is bundled with Simply 3D, Picture Publisher 8, & Matrox Software DVD Player.

With most OEMs, you get just the manual & driver disc.

I'm assuming this is no different...

OEM's may be made with different RAM, and clocked differently (lower speeds). No guarantee that it will or won't be done to any given card.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Rags posted this before now could someone please confirm this!!!! All G450s (32MB DDR) that I have sold has had the same memory (Don't know about clk speeds)!
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

afaik, some G450s OEM come with SDRAM and my G450 with DDR runs at 133/333 core/mem.

Should we start a poll about clock speeds ?
