Sorry to bug you guys so much, but I'd just like to let you know that this is such a great place to get great help.
Iv fixed problems with my sound crackling, but my files are still far too large!
This is what Im doing.
I start ripping, I get some huge files! Like 50mb for 30sec of recording.
Load up FlaskMpeg, Select Divx, and compress... I may or may not get audio compressed with that. I might try some other codecs like MJpeg.
My files are still enormous.
This guy ripped the movie Snatch, compressed 2 hours of video into 700mb and it looks better than all of my rips.
I ripped the movie, The Rock, and compressed it to 1.2gb and it looked shittier than snatch. (No Pun intended)
Can you guys give me some recomended settings to try to get these files smaller? Maybe changing out certain settings? Selecting different codecs with PC-VCR? Or possibly give me some help with FlaskMpeg?
