  • 3DMark2K1 again w/ Radeon

OK, I just intsalled a new 1.2GB TB 200MHz FSB AXIA. I overclocked it to 1.3GB. I also own a Radeon AIW 32MB DDR. I overclocked that to 190/190 from 166 Here is my result. I think this is a pretty good score. What do you think?

Not a bad score, but I guess the TB1.3GHz helps you a lot here.
Also when looking at the individual scores, I think you should be able to get higher results, as I got similar or even better results with my Duron@1050 for most tests except the Game1 - high quality one (maybe a driver issue here, as with the vertex shader/point sprite tests?).

I was using Win2k, on what OS did you run the test?

EDIT: Two additional things: I had my Radeon oc'ed to 200/200MHz or maybe even 205/205, hence the higher Fillrates.
And I just noticed that you have the 32MB version - this will cost you a few fps as well, so your score seems really good.

Check that you always have HyperZ enabled. It' just a simple check in regedit.

      Can't remember the path though.

Anyways, it is probably unnecessery, HyperZ is enabled I guess.

We have the old smilies back!!!

It also depends on what drivers you are using for the Radeon. The latest 7184 Betas suck in 3DMark2001, expect your scores to drop by 20-25%, but your 3DMark2000 scores should increase.

Again, ATI and their drivers, tsk tsk tsk.
