I agree I wish there was some way to adjust the brightness without having to change my monitor settings. OGL IMO just looks so much better than D3D.

Use powerstrip 3.0 build 143 do the following:

              - PowerStip menu/ Options/ Hotkey manager
              - Check Enable hotkeys
              - Scroll thru the list of Functions and profiles
              - Highlight Increase primary gamma and assign a hotkey to it.
              - Highlight Decrease primary gamma and assign a hotkey to it.
              - Highlight Reset primary gamma gamp and assign a hotkey to it.

Then just trigger the hotkeys while playing.

This works for me in all D3D and OGL games.

Yes I totally agree that Matrox needs a gamma correction tool for DirectX/OGL and some utility that allows me to set refresh rate without going through the tedious/slow thingy that they have in Control Panel.

Even my old TNT has what I mentioned above.

Matrox is the only company to include custom refresh and monitor settings to consumer level cards. Your TNT never has come with them unless you are using Diamond InControl, in which case, I am sorry for you.

For every other card besides Matrox, you have to resort to third party apps to do monitor settings.

It's really easy to use the monitor settings if you have done once or twice before, and it's even easier to load the profile to disk so the next time you uninstall your drivers and upgrade, you just have to point the drivers to the customization file.

Yep. You canĀ“t beat that feature on Matrox Drivers. Specially in Win2k.

Using now a Kyro II board, and you can bet I miss that level of driver costumization.

You two never answered my question. I AM using G450 and I am NOT happy about their D3D/OGL gamma/color setting tool.

                          What question?

I didnt see any question ...

Besides, is Display Properties>Advanced>Color sooooo complicated?

If you want to adjust Gamma ingame, use PowerStrip.

Maybe I'll give PowerStrip a try, because Matrox's Color does not work in 3D or even 2D games...
