  • Try this benchmark on for size...

It's not as beautiful as VulpineGL or 3DMark 2001, but it can run smoothly on about any machine... www.glexcess.com

It only uses OpenGL code and one, yes, only one, 3D object... (the F-16 fighter I guess...)

Please, post your results (either with a G400 or G450, or both) and your drivers numbers so we can see which drivers and the best for GL apps...

    I currently only have a Radeon DDR 32 MB (@220core/220mem) and a G400 DH 16 MB @175core/233mem (I managed to sell my GF3 for a pretty good price )

Thanks for your time and efforts, this is what makes MURC such a nice place...

    Francis Beausejour

    Thanks in advanced

I know it ain't new; what I wanted to do is to create a thread where MURCers would post their scores using various drivers cards... so we could find the best performing Matrox OpenGL drivers (and the best performing Matrox card... probably a G400 32 MB O/Ced...)

Sorry, I don't have much time on hand, so no fancy screenies...("Waves, Optics and Modern Physics" exam on @08:15 on Tuesday...). BTW, you guys should use the 800x600@32bits setting, because it is the best compromise between being CPU limited and fill-rate limited...

I told you Joel, the best setting for a G400 is 800x600@32bits... a 45% increase... Thanks for your efforts guys, my G400 scores also correspond ewith yours

Spazm, my score is higher than yours because I used a Radeon DDR @233/233...

Just 10 days ago, I could have posted results on a GF3 @250core/500mem; it would have trashed my Radeon's scores... Usually, it was 50 to 60% faster... However, I did managed to get $600 for it, just before big companies announced they would reduce their GF3 cards' price from 600 to 450... I felt like a thief; The guy I sold it to must want to kill me REAL bad right now...

P.S.: it would be interrresting to see G450 scores, but not G450LE scores, as we know it would perform about as fast as a G250...

Waiting for that G550, and hoping for the best,
