  • Video and Snapshot Capture with my VJC camcorder

    Hello,
I am trying to make these questions clear, so here goes:
1)I have a new JVC GR-DVF31U Camcorder, digital. It came with JLIP Video Capture and JLIP Video Producer. I also have a Matrox G400 Marvel Video Card, and all the software and hardware works very good. No questions about it. I also have Adobe premiere 5.1.
2)I seem to be able to get al the video capture down ok with all the hardware and software.
3)I can capture the still pictures I snap with the JVC video camera as it does still captures (very nice feature). I use the JLIP
Video Capture feature software to grab the still pictures from the camcorder. it is a slow process and has a learning curve. I wish it could just easily go through the film and memory in the camera and grab the still, but it takes a long time and is not as easy to do as it should be. of course I am still learning al of it.
4)I would like to know more about capturing still, and by this I do not mean capturing a frame or 2 and calling it a still. I am talking about actual 'snapshots' taken on the camcorder using the snapshot feature. Then, downloading them into my computer. I was trying to see about using Premiere to grab the snapshots but had problems figuring out if this works. What I am trying to do is find more software that does this snapshot capturing from the camcorder with other software than the software that came with the JVCX camcorder, ie. JLIP Video Capture and Producer. it also came with more software like Presto Mr. Photo, Photoalbum, and ImageFolio, but it really is not what I am questioning.

I hope I made my questions clear as I tried. Thanx all for reading.
