(This table will probably be messed up again; if so, I won't even bother trying to repair...)

(Edit: but I did edit out one bogus entry )

There was an attempt to take attendance on the Soap Box. I would like to see some of the good performers who might not even know this forum exists give us a visit.

Could our glorious founder drop some of these people a line and invite them to stop by so we can give them a pat on the back. I think our strong suit is a really good sense of team, centered around the forums, and if that's communicated to some of our more anonymous teammates, they'd be less likely to up and leave.

These people are frequently mentioned in posts, and are welcomed and regularly patted on the back. It would be nice to know that they know we appreciate their efforts.

Just a thought. If Steve needs help, I'd certainly do whatever I can. If we've already tried this, well, forget I mentioned it.

Just wondering how you do the stats in the forums Martin - I think you mentioned once before that you can automatically generate the tables.

              Paul.

Pace: I keep all the stats in a database, so producing the weekly summaries is quite easy (just a few SQL queries). I could automate it, but I'm too lazy. It only takes a few minutes anyway.

I think it would be great to point our "anonymous" team mates here. We should just be very careful not to give the impression of spamming or "spying". A few months back, Steve sent an e-mail to some "inactive" team members, trying to revive their seti efforts. It helped somewhat, but I'm not sure how much of a lasting effect it had.

I'm also considering posting an anouncement of seti.matroxusers.com in one of the seti newsgroups (alt.sci.seti would be a good candidate), but I don't particularly like the idea of pimping my own site. It would probably mean a few new members though. What do you guys think?

If it's something commonly done on alt.sci.seti, I don't see a problem with it.
