If we are to keep competitive in the club rankings we are definitely in need to crunch more units/day! To do this we odiously need more members! How would it be if Ant would put some SETI statistics in the news every week? He could name the SETI cruncher of the week (most workunits), the fastest cruncher of the week, team stats etc.
Maybe this would get more people interested of SETI or if they notice that we get good support from our website they would change team to the MURC SETI team!
Also I’m sure there are a lot of team members who owns old computers (486, Pentiums, AMD K5, K6 Cyrix) that they don’t use for SETI because it would ruin their average times. How if we were to create a shared account for all the old computers we own? If we do that I am sure we could produce at least 50+ units/day! We could call the account something like “old-timers”(I can create the account if I get enough members to join it. Any suggestions and comments are welcome!

Hmm, not a bad idea, that with the "old Timers". It's really sad that I don't have a single comps crunching which needs more than 14hrs to proceed. I would join if I had a 133Mhz comp near.

As for the rest: I crunch as hard as I can, there is not a single % process time unused .

And, support would be good Ant. We don't talk of anything hardware here but some mentioning on your site. Didn't you said some days ago that this is a site for Matroxusers and that we give the information that should be on the site?

Thx for the reply MegaManX4 If we could only get about 100-200 486-pentium computers we can produce about ~100 more units a day! that would realy help the team! I have a Pent 100MHz if I create the account will anybody join it?

        Guru:

Count me in! I can spare a Pentium 90 and a Pentium 133. This should lower my Average Time by hours..

What team would that be Assimilator1? I'm not the creator of any team! I think you have mistaken me with guru (my nickname is Guru with a big G) the former member of team Lambchop! I had the same problem when I posted in the ars seti forum and when I submitted benchmark times to teamlambchop.
I'm have alvays been a member of the MURC SEIT team!

I'd be more than happy to post regular team news. We need to decide what is to be posted and someone needs to volunteer to mail me the info for posting in case I overlook it in here.

As breezer already sugested ( http://forums.murc.ws/ubb/Forum12/HTML/000156.html )we could have a SETI Cruncher of the week. And as i already said we could have the fastest seti@murcer competition every week Ees is propably the right person to E-mail you the stats. Also it would be nice to know all the new members that join the team(and all who leave) and how many work units they have. SteveC is propably the person to mail you that since he is the founder of the team.

I see if i can get a K6-266. It needs about 25 hrs for a WU, a good comp for the "old-timers" .

I hope that Ees will not "overwork". He did and does much for the team, and I thank him for that.
