  • Seti with Xeon's

Just curious. For those who are running Seti with their Xeon's(single, dual, quad, octa..etc.), how much time does it take to cunch an unit?

    Thanks

    Take a look at http://seti.mynoggin.net/cgi-bin/table.cgi
Keep in mind that this is with the teamlambchop benchmarkin WU so it is a litle bit faster then your normal WU!
Oh by the way, did you get your Pentiums to run seti already?

      Guru:

Thanks for the link. I am in the process of building a dual PII Xeon workstation for my buddy who wants to do some CAD. Got 450/1mb cpu's and motherboard from eBay for $300. Lucky bastard! I figure I can sneak in a couple Seti clients as services.

About the Pentiums, they got another 30 hours to go for those first WU's. They sure are "OLD" old timers.

Well, what if SETI gets confused and sends "guru"'s instead "Guru"'s results to MURC? All the sudden, we have thousands of WU's for free each day! Damn, another wishful thinking. I've been daydreaming too much these days...

Well it would be nice to get an extra 3000 WU's every day!
