  • S@H MURC What country are you in?

I'm just curious to know where all you SETI guys & girls are.

I did a similar post at the TA Dist forum too ,to get an idea of where we all were.
It seemed that most were in the USA ,but there was a significant proportion in Europe as well as in the UK.Plus a few others scattered all over the place!

I'll start off ,I'm in Surrey ,SE England ,UK

We've already done something like that, you know

We all live in a commune in Ojai, California. We eat nothing but brown rice and pork chops.

All WU's are processed by a single machine, which we call the Master Cylinder. At night, we cover ourselves with Thousand Island salad dressing perform a ritual dance around the MC, in hopes that it will process units faster.

Recently, we ran out of Thousand Island dressing and tried a combination of ketchup and mayonaisse. That's when you guys passed us.

I'm from Germany, the country with the lowest crunching time in the Top 5, hehe
And the city is Lübeck, in the north of Germany.

                Okay Assim,

The Netherlands here, Oosterhout to be precise. Going off for about a week, because of my move to my own flat. Just ran one of the last and my fastest WU's in 4 hours 56 minutes 31.9 seconds, with GUI 1.06

Kingston, Jamaica here running winntcmdline 2.4 nonintel on a K6-2 450 and occasionally on a K6-III 450 under 98/2k, and winntcmdline 2.4 intel on 2 MMX Pentium 233 (1 under 98 the other 200 server), 2 Celeron 500 (win98) and a P-!!! 500 (win98). Just got the fast intel machines, so average is about a day per WU, and I've crunched a couple on a K5-133 and a dual P-166

Using a normal non OC'ed P3-450 here Assim, with the addition of 256Mb SDRAM and lots of Gb's of hdd-space

I've tried 2.0 btw, and it slowed down my times, so I went back to 1.06 ... Still faster with it than lots of others out there, and even slower than lots of others out there

When do you join us? Shall we say the moment you go from mini-MURCer to MURCer?

when I have to stay in,
you always find me by the phone.

My friends tell me that I'm lucky,
now that I'm living on my own,
and while they've never been more right,
can someone tell me when will love come home?
