  • Announcement: SETI@Murc team statistics

    Hi there,

I've just finished creating a 'meta' stats-page for the MURC SETI@Home team. It's somewhat like the page for Team Amiga.

It lists (for all members that I have data for) the rank and completed WUs over the last few days. Progress in completed WUs is shown as well (so you can see who are the fastest members). One thing that's immediately apparent is that it won't be long before I get kicked out of the number 1 slot...

I haven't had the time to create a fancy page with all the bells and whistles. Just the numbers...

If all goes well, it should get updated automatically once every hour (at half past). It's not fool-proof at all though, so your milage may vary...

Have a look, and tell me what you think:

    http://www.casema.net/~ees/setimurc.html

Drop me a line (ees@tele2.nl) if you find any errors.

    Regards,
    Martin

        Hey, I like it!
Now it will be much easier for me to tell when Brian has his SuperCluster running on the weekends...

          Thanks guys,

As you'll notice, there's a little problem with the page, in the sense that the interval between the measurements is no longer 12 hours. That's because of problems connecting to the SETI stats-page at certain times. I won't fix that right now though; my son was born on the 3rd (yay!), so I've got some other things to take care of :-)

          Grtz,
          Martin

                Excellent job, Martin !!!

Is it possible to do a 'All Teams Top100' in the same way ?

I ask, because the link over at SETI that should serve this purpose is broken and none of my mails to the guys of SETI was replied jet ... furthermore I think that MURC would be scoring quite nice on an overall chart ...

                Cheers,
                Maggi

Yes, would it be great to see delta-WUs for every club? You could easily see what teams we are able to take and more importantly, detect foes trying to speed up below

Maggi: great idea. Unfortunately, that might take a bit more time than I'm willing to allow myself at the moment (see above...). However, I'll definitely keep it in mind; something for a sleepless night, perhaps? :-)

Buuri: great idea as well, and a bit easier to implement. As a matter of fact, I've started to grab the 'Clubs' page as well. I think this page is updated only once a day though (unless anyone can point me to a dynamic version), so it'll take some time before there's anything to show. Not that I mind; gives me some time to adjust the html-generating script as well (that one is messy [...shiver...]).

                    Cheers,
                    Martin

                          Hi,

My club-teams statistics are up and running as well. Find it through the main page:
                          http://www.casema.net/~ees/setimurc.html

                          Or directly at:
                          http://www.casema.net/~ees/seticlubs.html

                          Notes:
                          • Since SETI's clubs page is updated, shall we say, irregularly, I'll trigger the update for this one manually for the time being. Expect a refresh somewhere in the morning (Amsterdam time).
                          • Some teams have negative 'delta-WUs'. I haven't yet figured out what this is (error in my script (naah...), units taken back from cheating teams, error on SETI's side, whatever).
                          • We need more CPU-power!

Again, have a look and tell me what you think: ees@tele2.nl

                          Grtz,
                          Martin

(Say Ant, what's up with changing those forum-icons; my modest orange arrow turned into a raving mad green grin...)
