  • Marvel G400 Win98 driver Fiasco

My guess is Matrox is looking at this in a new way, after a year of trying to work with vendors, OS's, team support, politics, competitors, they decided on ehting, then changed to anothers, then, most like in the last few weeks they probably screwed up badly with their public relation, and decisions on driver support. They don't have the guts to tell us, but, there was probably a small war going on in some department at Matrox. They now realize they absolutely blew in public confidence in their Flagship G400 series, especially those thyat thought they had the best, the tops in video cards less than 2 years ago. They have jerked so many people around, with a bunch of arrogance thrown in. Someone that invest $300 in 1 card and $150 in another card (2 computers) is looking at this in 2 ways. I was loyal and believed in your support, but now next time, do I dare risk another investment? What are they hiding? In the end the arrogance and lack of real timely response is the worst. While the G400 lookede absolutely wonderful with the 2d, the 3D, it showed to be brilliant with 'certain apps and game' but never kept up with other cards. it is in reverse, and probably stil has the architecture to support the current apps and games, but the drivers are like a gas can half full of water. And, it's being refilled by a stoned clerk at 7-11, with slurpies getting the most attention. And I am not a W2K user, I use Win98, so the W2K people probably have bloodshot eyes.
