Kirk ruled. He nailed every alien female in the galaxy. Any guy that scores with green chicks gets MY vote.

no no no no no no NO! Jim Kirk is just soooo much better than Jean Lucy Picard. (Although he is getting better in the more recent films - see a startrek captain requires experience to be great)

Captain Janeway might not be the sexiest on board, but for being best captain, I think she qualifies

It's gotta be Shatner.. You can tell which year an episode was filmed in by the size of his stomach.

                Experience!!!!!!!

                Let's see:

                J.L.Picard:
From 1987~1994=7 years experience(duration of StarTrek NG)+2 1/2 Star Trek Movies

                James T. Kirk:
                From 1966~1969= 3 years experience+ 6 1/2 Movies

Well it seems to me that Picard has more experience

Jean-Luc was the most diplomatic of the Captains but if I was ever in a fight I would rather have Kirk by my side.

                    Kirk's a wuss.
Jean Luc rules, altough Sisko catches on in the last two seasons.

On the other hand, Kirk would probably have evaporated a Ferengi on sight.

While the TOS does have it's own charm, Patrick Stewart is just such a great actor that I choose him

Sisko is a lot better than he was previously, but Picards early years/episodes were often poor too, so maybe Sisko is just shining in the new storylines

Janeway has a little advantage in the way Voyager is set, she's got so much more responsibility with them being stranded. It's also nice having a real exploration ship again
