  • I HATE ROADRUNNER!

Ok, download speeds are ok, but guess what?!? NO EMAIL! They've been getting worse and worse over the last few weeks, and it's decayed to the point where basicly nobody using Cox Cable in Kansas are able receive email. If someone sends us email, it bounces basicly 100% of the time. And they're moving at the speed of a paralyzed sloth to fix it. ARGH!

Heh, you should try loss of some emails, emails delayed (recieved out of sync by days, even weeks at times), or even no emails for weeks, 11 weeks of constant packet loss varying between 5-25% and having them tell you that problem is yours (tho they never tested or checked system), inablity to ftp, and even disconntecting you by mistake.

All the problems were @Home's. I'm happy now that they fixed it(finally!)... shame I'm now moving.

Jon: Why don't you use a freemail client and use that email address as your primary one? this way you can keep your email adress when changing providers and if your provider has problems with their mailservers, so what?

Get this... a CSR at RR told someone on the local newsgroup that technically we aren't paying for email, just high speed internet service. Thus we aren't receiving a service that we aren't paying for and therefor it's no big deal. They also recommended that we subscribe to a different email service to get reliable email. Wow, makes me feel so special.

*sound of jaw hitting the floor* Geez, and there's me thinking that UPC is doing a piss-poor job on their services...
