  • What do you guys pay for ADSL?

Just got an ADSL connection, and I´m loving it, but I´m curious.... what´s the price in other countries.

Here in Denmark we pay about 55-60 £ (70$)(depending on the conversion rate) a month for a 512/512 connection!
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

Mine is $40 (also depending on the conversionrate) for a 512/64-connection.

640/160 for $50, but that's pretty lousy around here. However, in my town there is only one provider (the phone company)!

          Chris B,

It seems that you are paying a bit more, because you have SDSL (Synchronous Digital Subscriber Line). Since you have a significantly higher upload rate than an ADSL (Asynchronous)connection, you are going to pay for it. SDSL is really cool though. You can run a decent FTP off it.

I'm paying zilch, zero, nothing for ADSL, simply because BT (UK's telephone monopoly) are unable to get it to my house. God what a bunch of useless tossers. However if they were able to manage this feat, it would be 512/256 for 39.99 uk pounds (approx $60).

ps Sorry for the Rant, but BT are the pits

wulfmann - yes I am talking about unlimited transfer/traffic. If not I would feel pretty screwed

Jammrock - Maybe you´re right about the SDSL thing, but ADSL is what my ISP call it.

Seems I pay more than most of you, but hey... i split the bill 60-40 (in my favor) with my brother so it´s not so bad

Muahahahahaha, I've got you all beat! $199/month for unlimited 1mbps SDSL! Megapath Networks with Northpoint. Not cheap, but I can set up a nice server if I wish, and it's very reliable! ISP also let me have a nice, expensive $600 DSL router for only $299

Gurm, where do you live? Do you happen to be in Verizon territory? God, they suck ass. When they came to do work on the wiring for my DSL line, they killed my voice line, so I had no way to contact my ISP
