Bah, I still run a PIII-500. What are you whining about!

edit: pushing the submit button -before- checking for errors is not a good strategy.

      ------------------
In case it's a harware problem:
      PIII-500, 256 MB, G400 MAX DH on, ABIT BH6, MX300
      Win2K drivers: 5.03

That's quite a quandry. You're not going to get much faster with a PIII. Buy an faster CPU, and you might actually run slower because your FSB is so fast.

You need a new videocard. A big fat G800!

I think that's why he's sad, he wants a new video card and Matrox hasn't got any

            Check my sig.
You'll see what to do with no G800 in sight.

              Paul:
Yes, the vid card is it, I've had it since they first came out
It's clocked at MAX speeds and I'm wondering if getting a real MAX, doing the same mod on it as I did on the vanilla then clocking higher would be worth it

              Chuck:
I've been mulling over the RAID solution recently and could definately be the fix I need, IBM's are most likely!
Any thoughts on a raid controller or maybe a motherboard with support built in?

Yes, & it would be the easyest upgrade in history!

                  BE6-2 to BE6-2 Version 2
Support for ata/100 and raid on the motherboard.
The HighPoint controler & it's drivers seem very solid. It tolerates my overclocking just fine.
