Between political crap and nonsence posts, there is nothing here. Have at it Joel and Guru. It's all yours.

I think it was you that once said.

"Other forums are technical. This one, IMO, is to let people discuss almost anything they want without worry. If they can't do it here, it will end up in other more technical places."

"A free hand without allowing pornography, extreme vulgarity, extreme profanity would be my wish."

You are free to discuss whatever you want. I will not read it. Your agenda is much too political for me. I wanted to bring this fact to everyone's attention.

My no longer providing feedback in this forum is my way of protesting your overbearing and radical political views

        LOL,

You found it necessary to tell everyone that you don't want to read certain threads no more?

Sounds kind of childish. Like the kid in the corner crying "I am not playing with you guys no more, you think differently than me".

        Rags

        political agenda, sheeeeshhhh squared.

BTW, Brian, have you ever even thought about what "Soap Box" means?

Here, in case you don't know, I will explain for you.

Back in the day when someone wanted to "tell everyone" their opinion of something (Whether it was religion, politics, nonsense, news, or even prophecy), they would stand up on their little home-made stands. Most of the time, they were soap boxes. Yes, soap used to come in cases of wood. So, the crazy guy on the corner who had something to get off his chest would go and stand on top of his soap box and let it all out. They minister for a new church looking to get new members would stand up on his soap box and call out to them. The guy who thought the end of the world was near would stand up on his soap box as well to tell everyone that the world was going to end. Even today we still have people doing the same things. We just don't have soap boxes anymore. But we still call it standing on your soap box, get it?

Hmm, it used to be about religious crap and nonsense, I'm not sure that was any better.

BTW, I think Guru is very bored.

Well, as long as everyone understands the basis for political comments, it's all well and good. Why post this? To stir up arguments? Probably not. To convince others of a radical point of view, probably.

The bottom line is, I don't like politically radical points of view in any direction. I don't care if it appears childish to you Rags, if this was done on a soapbox, I'd throw tomatoes.

If it weren't for substantial, rational arguments from the "radicals", the rest of the populous would never advance (see Galileo (sp>), Martin Luther, and company).

You guys are right, there's no point in getting upset about crap being posted here. I guess it's expected.

                    caveat whatever

Well, the way I look at it is that sometimes we all have views that may appear radical in other's eyes. This is one of the things about the world that makes it interesting. What's not good is when people start getting angry and actually allow another's opinion upset them. If you don't agree with someone's opinion, and the person you disagree with is rational, it can make for good debate. If they don't want to listen to anyone else, then one can just sit back and appreciate the diversity of people's minds. But surely don't let it anger you, that's how wars get started.

Why do you consider my political views to be so "overbearing and radical"? Because I refuse to be lead around by a ring through my nose and accept the status quo? Get real. That is what this country was founded on, our founding father's refusal to accept the status quo.
