  • The True Impact of Y2K Reveals Itself!

Nine months after the "end of the world," a sizable spike in the SF Bay Area birth rate has been reported. Apparently, this is a nationwide phenomenom. It appears Americans decided to stay in and go out with a bang.

it would appear from your statement that much "spiking" was also done at start of year. LOL

I have to dissagree with that statement SteveC. Most IS/IT professionals are paid salary positions. So all the overtime to make sure nothing went "kaplooey" was not paid for. My company had the plant shut down but I and the rest of the IT crew were in all that week doing last minute testing.

And to think, you could of been makin' babies. On reflection, you were probably better off at work.

I'm with Dil. I'm salaried. Actually, though, we got a few extra vacation days this year for working the weekend. Glad to see my company gave us more than a smile for our efforts.

I bought a 13" TV w/VCR and watched movies the entire weekend...

I don't mean to brag, but I think the best way is the way my company does it. Salary + Overtime. If you don't work overtime, fine. If you do, submit a form, get bags of money.
