Steve, Steve, you should be ashamed of yourself...is this the behavior of an Employee of the Month (an honor for which I forgot to congratulate you, btw...too busy getting into that fire-suit...)?

And just handing Buuri free plugs for Finland (a very nice place, I'm sure)....well, is that right?? (At least make him work for it!)

What oh what are these forums coming to...? Oh the humanity...!

Holly, my friend, you are mistaken - I didn't get the Employee of the month award! You're confusing me with someone else (who I can't remember off the top of my head).

And one more thing - Oh the humanity? What humanity? http://forums.gagames.com/forums/wink.gif

Cheers,

YeahYeah, okay... I've dug a hole, and put 'something' in it (tombman's IQ maybe??) and I'm filling it back in...

At least I had some exercise, while you kids have been doing nothing but nag to the cook that whatever it was you're (man-) eating isn't cooked through and through yet...

Off to the MacDonalds now, anyone want to join me?? http://forums.gagames.com/forums/wink.gif

Hi!

Wasn't Glaze3D supposed to come up with Environmental Bump Mapping first?

I thought I heard that they came up with the new technology and liscenced it to Microsoft for DirectX.

I only heard this! Correct me if I am wrong.

Awesome!

Hully SH*T, Buuri....[just dl'd that video]!

I will never say another bad thing about Fins (can I call you 'Fins'?)...

Clearly the long winters have been put to very good use...

Now I'll have to build another box just so I can use this card as well as my G400 (still to be my baby, no matter what)...!

But if this goes on, I'll be forced to say we should go to GenHW...so I'll be quiet now...

And hey, waitaminute...d'ya mean you actually have to download files, like us peons? I thought that P3 enabled Intel to beam the Internet directly into your cerebral cortex... my G*d, have they...[gasp] lied?? Who woulda thunk it....??

Dear Holly,

Was that a joke? You want to call us fins? As flippers? (I'm not sure if the meaning of those is exactly the same)
I'm not a nationalist, but for your information, the right word a Finn.

But I'm glad you liked that video, if that wasn't a sarcastic remark I mean.. http://forums.gagames.com/forums/wink.gif

No, no Buuri...not sarcastic at all...

I have many virtues, but apparently spelling is not among them...sorry for the confusion..

To anybody who reads this
far down the thread...

Interesting article about Glaze3D:

http://www.beyond3d.com/interviews/bitboys/glaze3d/

Looks like it will not be
just a design on the paper
for much longer http://forums.gagames.com/forums/smile.gif

"Q. Also new on the Glaze3D's specs is environmental bump-mapping. Is this a recent addition due to the acclaim of the G400's use of this feature, or is it something that you've been planning?

A. Environmental bump-mapping is our invention we did years ago, and licensed it to Microsoft last year. So, it is quite natural we will support it, don't you think? http://forums.gagames.com/forums/smile.gif"

Hahaha.. there you go Matrox.
I wonder just how pale Matrox implementation will look like next to Glaze3D.

I'm very impressed, if not with the actual product than with the Glaze3D propaganda machine. If we honestly really see a Bitboys accelerator (they're 0 for 2 so far) I will definitely buy one... for my play machine. I find it hard to believe that their 2D quality will beat my G400, and I _do_ have to get work done.

Hey!

I am still waiting for that Pyramid 3D! You know, the rival to the Riva 128!!!

Just a 'nother vapor ware post! Heck I'll buy one when it's released in October.

I know that it in combination with a SNAPPY parallel video capture will stomp all over my G200 and Rainbow Runner G-series.

Hey Voodoo 4 droolers! Ya want to see "Motion Blur?" Go into a photography dark room and wave you hands in front of your face after adjusting to the red light! WhoAAA, drug free trippin man.

Enough with the dredging up of these old 'Oh! No!' threads. Now if you want to start a new one that's a different story.
