  • "Bite Me" - How did this originate?

    Well?

It is something like someone might say to anther other 'bite me!' like he's saying 'Come on then!' - provoking a fight?

Sounds better than "chew me" as this may insinuate something rather dodgy.

I think you're both on the right track. I suspect it's a sanitization of "bl*w me." It's perfectly acceptable to say it to your friends but not to your mom.

The language seems to be filled with expressions you just can't say to your mom and expect to live.

Well, it's basically a noise made to indicate some reactive emotion, don't look for any meanings in it, few expressions like that make any sense whatsoever. I mean when you say "fu*k!", what does that mean? That you would like everyone that hears you to have intercourse? If you say "Jesus Christ!", is that a very short prayer?

My girlfriend tells me to bite her all the time, and I do.

First one on the forums was Holly as far as I remember, but the origin is ofcourse America (or the US for those illiterate ). It's coming from the TV-series The Simpsons and means something like: Suck my d*ck, or blow me, I guess

(And the above isn't duck, dock, dack or deck )

                  OK then, "Bite my Butterfinger"!

Actually this was only popularized by the Simpsons cartoon series. Where it originated I don't know, but I've been saying that long before Matt Groenig made it common.
