  • Hey, does Napster still work for you guys?

Everytime I try and d/l another DJ Tiesto clubmix, Napster says that it could not save to the music folder in the Napster directory... even when the folder is there. What the hell?

What about you guys? Does it work for you? Or did they finally shut it down?

Try Downloading some Metallica. I know that works for sure.

Or try some other program (scour, cutemx, gnutella.......)
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

              McRhea: I'm downloading now...

With v2.0 BETA 6 I could not get it to work but BETA 7 works now, for me that is

Betas 5 and 6 were hella flaky at times. Beta 7 seems to connect more often. Personally, I think they still need to write some better server code. Point in fact is there are people online, and I can get songs from them, but can't see their song listings unless I use the search engine, because they're on a different server than I am, so browsing them doesn't work.

It's irksome. Major flaw in the server side software, if you ask me.

I'm kinda hooked on Scour, but yeah, Napster is still working. Nothing like the raw download speed when you have Napster and Scour running on two machines sharing a modem connection
