  • Ever heard of integrated CPUs

Well, mine seems to be like that now. I can't manage to get it out, seems like it's stuck in the slot. Wanted to get it out, take the heatsink and fan off and clean them, but the bastard won't budge despite the hard pulling.

    It's an SE440BX-2 mobo and a 450 Katmai.

      crossed my mind

Now, leaving all jokes aside, what can I do, beside pulling till I rip the mobo apart ?

Well, andrei, I take it this is a Slot-1 CPU?
You've tried unlocking the CPU? If not, pull (I think, otherwise push) on those two levers on both sides of the CPU and the guiding structure (upside of the CPU), until they click out.
Then pull the CPU out of the slot with a firm jank (sp?).

        Jord.

I unlocked it before pulling, I just had to pull harder, much harder
After cleaning the heatsink and fan and fiting the CPU back in and booted, the monitor greeted me with a No signal alert. Somehow my vanilla was disturbed. Had to refit it several times. I have that problem that Paul always posts pictures to warn of.
