  • Questions about dual head video playback.

After having spoken to Matrox tech support, I was told that I can not do the following:
Runinng a G400 Max Dual head with 32 MB.
Have the DVD Max video option turned on.
Playing *.mpg or *.avi movies using windows media player.

While I play them, they play in the media player window and on the secondary display/TV, until I bring another application like Word or Widows Explorer to the foreground. The file continues to play in the media player window, but the output on the second display/TV pauses until I bring media player back to the front, then it continues from wherever the movie is currently at. Why is this? Is there a way to put the player in the background and have the file continue to play on my secondary display/TV?

    Help!

I would seriously doubt its possibility, but I will not rule it out. I know that the DVD Max feature works by double mapping the overlay color so that it is both in the window for media player and also stretched over the whole secondary display. When an application loses the focus, it can no longer do this.
