Why PD tries to connect?

Hi everyone, it's my first posting here.

Does anyone know why every time PowerDesk starts (every time Windows starts, of course) it tries to connect to the Internet?

It is the 5.14 under Win2k. Instead, the 5.06 tries to connect only when I open the Quickdesk menu from the Tray Icon.

Is there any hidden option to disbale this? Every time I go in Windows I need to say him "don't connect"!
