  • Win2K with Powerdesk 5.00.013

I am running Win2K Professional build 2195 (RTM Release), and I installed Powerdesk 5.00.013 for my Matrox G400 Dualhead. These drivers work fine in 2D and D3D (sometimes there is a bit of screen corruption in 2D, but not too much). The problem hoewever is OpenGL. When I try to run Quake3Arena, it crashes at the moment the ID logo shows up on screen. The OpenGL screensavers included in Win2k also don't work.

Does anyone have an idea to get OpenGL to work properly in Win2K? Or is there something wrong with my setup, and is OpenGL working foine with others?

    My Setup:
    Abit BX6r2, Celeron 366@366MHz, 128MB PC100 SDRAM DIMM, Adaptec 2940UW, Diamond MonsterSound MX100, 3Com 905B-TX 100MBps NIC, Matrox G400 32Mb Dualhead, Maxtor DiamondMax 6800 10GB, IBM DDRS-34560D (U2W), Plextor UltraPlex 32x, Plextor PlexWriter 4x12

I also noticed that on the Matrox Site these drivers show up as version 5.00.007, but in the readme as 5.00.013. Now which version are these drivers???

To make it even more confusing, my ABOUT reports PowerDesk Version 6.00.007....

BTW, has anyone gotten the CenterWINDOW hotkey to work without totally corrupting Display 1 in dual monitor mode? Damned annoying..........
