I have the new drivers installed on RC2 on an Abit BP6 and did not get that error, though there are plenty of other annoying problems....

I am using w2k 2183 (RC3) and the new pdesk drivers for my g400 32 dual do NOT work at all. Everything looks fine until I move the mouse or press a key. Then I get all kinds of sporadic lines and blotches all over the screen. Next all my characters on the screen turn to some ancient Chinese. I guess that is why these are beta drivers. I have an MVP mb, 3com nic, aha2940, 3 seagate 9gigs, 128 ram, sb live, nec multisync 70...

OH Yeah, I dual boot w/ win98. this should have no effect though, right?

Could I need an updated AGP driver for my MB?

                gary:
I've got an MVP3 board (AX59Pro) and W2k RC3 too and have exactly the same problem. My solution was to disable busmastering in display options.
Games tried and working under W2K: Descent3 and Half-life.

Hardware: Aopen AX59Pro (Always latest BIOS), AMD K6-2 400, 128 MB RAM, SB Live, G400 SH 16MB.

                  ok here's what happened
i couldnt get it to work w/ rc2
but then i tried rc3 and it worked fine
                  no problems at all
the only thing that didnt work perfectly
                  was q3demo
when i turned on the smp i got mad texture problem
other than that everything works fine
i suggest to others to try rc3

Extremely flakey here too! Can't get much past sign-on. This is with a fresh RC2 install with a dual P-II machine and a 400 Max.
