  • OpenGL ICD problem fixed but.........

I recently posted many messages about an OpenGL problem saying that i had a memory parity error, but I found the settings in my bios which can help me fix that problem. If I change these settings in my bios: disable the "PCI 2.1 Support" and set my "Graphics Aperture Size" to 16mb then OpenGL works fine.

But why does it do that? Is the ICD driver optimized only for G200 cards with SDRAM?? Hell I don't know.

    HI,

One fast question. How much chips do you have on your memory?

as for what you tried... I am surprized that it worked... Can you try to set back your PCI to 2.1 since this should have no affect at all on your AGP card and it is a usefull feature. You should not get any problem by putting this back to yes.

    Ciao

With the PCI 2.1 support enabled it works, but why is it that I can't put mt graphics aperture any higher than 16mb? When you set the default settings it put it at 64mb, whycan't I put it any higher?

Now usually after 12 hours or so I start getting the error again after finding a solution so I'll keep you updated.

I have 8 chips per RAM module, I don't have ECC RAM.
