  • My mgaTweak results

After reading the newsgroup in and out, and fiddling with mgaTweak I've finally maxed out my G400 SH 32 MB on Cel300@495.

    PLL: 430
    2.5/2.25/2.5

    SDRAM:
    3,1,3,8,3,1,Fast,1,1,1,0.2,0.2,1985

Programs used for testing was Q3 and UT, both run at 1024-32bit, everything maxed out.
Notice I didn't get the G400MAX value for MCLK, I'd get anomalies in Q3 and UT, and the increase in FPS wasn't that great for my system at least. But I experienced great results in increasing GCLK and WCLK.
    Hope this helps.

got same card, will try out your recommendation to see if my card can take it. been using only pll to 295 and it works fine with 486 fan on heatsink.

Duty cycle corr set to 5, although I haven't experimented much with it.

You mean the MClk of the duty cy. etc. is set to 5??

If these settings work I'll go jippie!!!!!
I never got higher then 160Mhz Gclk, if I got higher then I coudn't play any gamez

            Hi..
            What cooling do u use????
I put on a pentium cooler on the sink...
And it works fine up to 295 on PllClock.
But when i go 300 i get strange lines... :-(

Does it generate much more heat if i start mixing with the memory and clock divider??

I meant the MCLK set to 5, yes. I've also put on a small coolermaster fan on the heatsink, and the temps went down from 48C to 24C.

I use a modified Intel slot 1 Fan from my P3, I cut the edges of and put it on the heatsink and an other one is on top of that so it generates a kind of a turbine effect(Each fan spinning different direction).
I dont' even know if it will cool any beter then the Intel fan but I'm trying.

Buzz: how do monitor you G400???

My MSI motherboard came with a thermistor, which I've stuck into the heatsink on the G400.
