  • Best MGATweak setting for G400 vanilla?

    I have a G400 vanilla 32meg DH with 6ns memory.

I currently am using the following settings:
    401 2.5/2.0/.25
    haven't change the memory settings

    Questions:

1-How much of a difference is there with changing the memory settings from default to those stated in the PDF?

2-What divider settings would THEORETICALLY output the best performance?

    Thanks,
    Zenfe

Zenfe - follow the procedure in the pdf to get the best increase you can, and do a search on here to see how it compares. I have the same card -I'll post you the settings I got to sometime.

Kruzin - Whilst I'm with everyone here who agrees you are doing a great job as moderator and technical guru (where do you find the time?) I feel you are being a bit overzealous moving this thread. This forum doesn't get much traffic, and the topic is of interest to those who read Matrox Hardware - although I agree this may be the best place to get a response from Kjliew. Perhaps copying it would be more helpful?

I guess I'm gonna get flamed now. Keep up the good work!

Zenfe.. the memory settings do make a noticeable visual difference. As far as multiplier settings go.. I run it at 2.25/2.0/2.25 with a PLL of 410. I tried 2.5/2.0/2.5 and it wouldnt work. Which is weird.
