  • MGA settings for G400

Can anybody give me some settings for MGA Tweak for a standard G400 32Mb? I've been told it can be clocked up to near MAX speeds, but I don't know what they are, and the last thing I wanna do is destroy my new card. Ta very much....

    Hi there Monty,

I downloaded the MGA Tweak from here and set the system clock to 300MHz and I get a core/mem. speed of 150/200MHz, which is the MAX setting, I think. It has been running like that for a month now and there hasn't been any problem! :0)

And oh yeah, don't forget to attach a fan to the heat sink of your Vanilla G400.

    Cheers..

    Iskandhar

      HIHI
i have used MGA-tweak for my G400 32MB SH to overclock the speed. I have set the system PLL clock to 400MHz , the Core speed is 177MHz and mem speed is 200MHz, where GCLK/Fo and WCLK/Fo =2.25 SYSPLL and MCLK/Fo=2.0.
It works perfectly OK and passed all 3D test like 3D winbench, 3D mark and Final Reality, etc. 3D texture w/o broken.Maintain beautiful graphic.
I just add a 4x4 cm 6000 rpm fan on the heat sink for cooling.

      My system:
      AMD-K6-2 300MHz o/c 345 (115 X 3)
      PCI speed = sys/3 (38.3)
      AGP at 2x mode (38.3 x2 x2 = 153MHz)
      160MB PC133 RAM
Iwill XA100 plus motherboard w/512K cache
      IBM 13.5GB UDMA 33
      SB live! value
      Panasonic 6X dvd rom
