  • RAM optimizing

    Hello!

I have been using g200clk on my Millenium G200 16 meg AGP card. The only options I have been playing with are the PLL (at 225 now) and the "/4 34".
    I can't get the RAM optimization to work using "/2 1 0 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0"
I would like to play with this setting; but I don't know what the defaults are, so I am not exactly sure what a 'more conservative' setting would be.
I am having great fun so far with it though, just the "/1 220 /4 34" is doing wonders for me.

    Hi Adrian,

    First of all try to reduse the PLL to a smaller number than 225 and then you may have a /2 1 0 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 .
Having a 16mb ram also reduse the optimisation capabilities of your SGRAM!!
If you want more info about G200CLk and SGRAM optimisation try mgatools.matroxusers.com news

Okay, now I understand a bit more.
      BUT... it doesn't like the /2 1 0 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 even at '/1 200'
So I'm thinking that keeping the '/1 225' setting will be more beneficial than fiddling with the RAM optimizations.
..and for some reason I forgot about checking the mgatools.matroxusers.com website. Duh. Much of the info I wanted was right there.
More on this as it develops (I may try to crank this bugger a bit more...)
