  • DVDMax doesn't work on every file type

    Hello!

I'm using my TV as a secondary display which is very nice when looking Divx-movies.

The problem is that DVDMax doesn't seem to recognize all AVI or MPG files. Some of the files start playing nicely on the primary monitor but not on the TV. Luckily most of the files play on both monitors. Anyway it is very irritating to use ZOOM function if I want to watch some of my videos on TV. I haven't found any reason why DVDMax doesn't like those files.

    My Matrox composition is:
    Matrox G450 DH
    Matrox driver package 6.50.008
    DirectX 8.0
    BIOS 1.3-23
    Windows ME

    Thank you for paying attention.

Some codecs don't support overlay. DVDMax outputs any overlay video to the second output. If the video you're watching is encoded using a codec that doesn't support overlay, DVDMax won't work.

      Use DivXG400 filter http://www.tac.ee/~prr/videoutils/
      or Sasami2k player http://nuclei.d2g.com/
      to work around the problem.
