    Hi Doc

1st lets say thanks for pointing this out.
    Secondly - AAArghhhh!

Can anyone tell me the Byte size of the downloaded '.exe' file? I made it 13,597,483bytes.
Why - well after taking over an hour to download, I last looked at 98%. When I came back the web browser had locked up???

It installed REALLY slowly, and does not run, I even installed a cover disk version of Quick Time 3.0 which cool 3d asked for.

Every time I try and run the program, it gives one of those wonderfull WIndows Page fault screens (can not remember the message - they don't mean anything to me!)

Just wondered if it is -
    1) the program.
    2) Cover disk Quick time.
    3) My computer.(333AMD.128Mb ram).
    4) maybe I did not get the whole file.

    Any Ideas Guys please?

    Ta

    Biker.

Cool 3D 3.0 is an *incredible* value.

It includes VECTOR ILLUSTRATION tools, now,
which means you don't have to rely on
outside applications to create the closed-path logos, shapes, vector .wmf or .emf
files needed to create new objects in
      Cool 3D.

The new vector tools in v3 sound good, but I'd interested in any info re:rendering time/speed.
I've used v2.5 in the past, but rendering is very slow. A :04 title @ 30fps = 120 frames (as seq. JPGs) took just over 2.5 hours!! An AVI output didn't do much better.
        (PII350 / 192mb mem / lots of drive space etc etc , JPG output @ 80%).
I agree, it's quite a neat program and the price is hard to complain about, but it's hard to bring myself to part with my computer for 2.5 hrs while it's off rendering.
Is/will v3.0 be any faster?? Comments??

That's the only weak spot where
Cool 3D is concerned .. render times.

It's not so bad with my Pentium III
500Mhz machine with 128mb of ram.

I suspect this application will really
become hot as processor, bus and ram
attributes advance upward in terms of
          speed.

I just wish Ulead will come to there senses and allow us to import Jpeg's BMP's etc. everything else other than wmf or emf's

Sometimes I just want to make a title without 3D with a picture and export it as a Alpha channel TGA file but I can't import the jpeg, If anyone knows how to do that please let me know.

            Regards,
            Elie

Elie, I import background graphics with version 2.0 quite often. There's a menu that can be brought up when the backgrounds are selected, like a toolbars selection or something, that gives you an import file option. (I'm at work, so I can't bring the pgm up and be more specific)
