I don't use IE5.5 or 6, nor do I use Win98. Best I could recommend is check your scripting settings (is java enabled?). I dunno what to say other than that. Haven't seen this problem with IE5.01....

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?

Since nobody replied saying they have the same problem I would hazard a guess that yes, you are alone with it.

I too have never seen anything like that with any release of IE or the drivers.
It's more than likely not related to your video card anyway. And I use Win2k only. (I'm not touching IE6 though until it is deemed final by Microsoft.)

Could you give an example URL for us to check? I already tried the http://www.aol.de/homepage/index.html link as seen on your screenshot but no pop-ups ever opened.

              please try http://www.onlinekosten.de

the popup-window should be about 150x100px.

              thanks
