  • G400 and side band adressing

    Is there any way to turn off side band adressing on G400 board? My m/b is asus P3B-F.

    My question is what does it do?? I have a spot in my bios for it and I don't know what it does.

      It was designed as a feature for AGP4X as a performance booster. But in real-world performance, it doesn't give any benifit at all.

      But unless you find your G400 can't take high overclocked AGP bus speeds, there's no benifit to disabling side-band adressing.

        Thanx E.D.!! I can't get it to run at any higher than 110mhz fsb. Ill try disabling SBA and give it another go. It is faster at 112mhz fsb, just get funky artifacts now and then.
