  • My G400 won't stay OC'd in win2k

    For some reason, whenever the display mode is changed (be it a res change, refresh change), My G400 reverts back to default clock speeds. This happens when both when I OC using the Matrox Tweak Utility and MGA tweak.

    It'd be at 150/200 when I boot up (checked using MGAtweak), but when i change my res Or enter a game (where res is changed), it reverts back to default clock speeds. Does anybody have a solution to this?

    I think, but I am not sure(as in haven't tried it yet ) that the latest release of the Matrox Tweak Utility cures this.

      using 4.18.

      But it doesn't only happen with the tweak utlity. It happens with MGA tweak 1.20. And both of the overclock correctly, but it reverts back to default speed when the display mode is changed.

        This will only work with MGATweak:

        turn on Clock montoring, and minimize to taskbar. Keep it running all the time. That way it will change back the clockspeed as soon as something (the things you mentioned) will reset the overclock.

        MTSTU doesn't have clockmonitoring.

          ty, problem solved. Although I would prefer it if i didn't have to have MGAtweak running all the time. But it's free speed, so u can't really complain.
