G200 VIA/SS7 - Win2k upgrade
Cast your minds back. I've an old AMD K6/2-500 system (second system) with VIA SS7 mobo and a G200 AGP mystique.
I'm trying to perform a Win2K upgrade from Win98SE. The upgrade wizard tells me that the video card is incompatible and the OS might not boot if upgrade is performed. It then kicks me out. Is there any way round this without formatting/installing from scratch ?
I have got an old PCI graphics card. I could maybe install that for the upgrade and then re-fit the G200 afterwards having loaded the VIA AGP chpset drivers in Win2K ??
