  • RT2000.... Great product, some problems.

    Hi,

I got my card and Matrox has done it very well. I was amaged to see the RT
in action. Great product........ and that too on a UDMA2 A/V drive.

I got the card with RT2000 Beta 4 CD. Only one problem I am facing is : I
    cant export to MPEG2 IBP.

I have set the AGP Aperture size to 256 MB. The M/B is Intel SE440 BX-2,
    running P-III 500 MHz.
128 MB RAM, AWE64 ISA 16 bit sound card, and a D-Link 100 MBPS Ethernet
    card.

I am unsure which version of Win98 I have, SE or not. How can I find it?

When I export to MPEG2 IBP, it shows it is rendering but only audio file is
stored in the drive. no video only the wav file. I opened the folder when
the rendering is going on, it showed both the audio and video file, but as
soon as the redering (exporting) completed, the video file vanished. I tried
each and every combination of the parameters, DVD Compliant, Custom, CBR,
VBR.... everything, but it wont work.

Actually this is what I intend to do with the RT card :
    - Capture the material from DV and edit it ( working fine ;-)
    - Export the clip to MPEG2 IBP multiplexed program stream. ( Not working
    ( )
    - Run the MPEG Clip on a Creative DXR3 MPEG2 card or on a RealMagic
    Hollywood Plus card. (not tested)

And somebody wrote in this forum that The beta 5 is available!!! where ?

I am waiting impaitently for ur reply(ies)

    Thank you for your patient.

    Regards.

    - Asit

How did you manage to get the RT2000, can you please explain.

As far as I'm concerned it's not released yet.

    Regards,
    Elie

      My questions exactly Elie.

IF indeed you have one then ask whoever gave it to you for new disks or access to the FTP site. Otherwise....
