  • A question about the new MTS tweak utility...

I havent overclocked my G400 in a while but I was thinking about tweaking it a bit again and was wondering how do you use this new tweak utility? I see that there is a slider bar that allows you to adjust the clock tweak but how do you know what to set it to? And how do you know what the core/memory are at? I used to use something different and check it with g4 set but that doesn't seem to work with my windows 2k. If someone had any imput i'd appreciate it. Maybe there is a better utility out there. BTW I have a crystal cooler fan on my vanilla g400 dual head, have a few extra case fans installed and I am using win 2k pro. Thanks

"Temporary" OC button is there so you can find out what is stable/without glitches on your own. This will vary from card to card dependent on overall quality of parts.

Some G400's will OC to Max levels maybe even beyond... whereas a Max may OC slightly.

Greebe- How do I see the speed it is at tho, all I see is that it is at 100% and I have to guess where to start? 105% ? What is a percentage that would be eqivalent to 200/150 or so? Thanks

        Hi KS,

you can use some 3rd party utility to read what clock setting you're at and them increase our slider accordingly. Increasing

Unfortunately, it's a company policy that we don't make our clock settings public or else we would have included this in our util.

          Kookstick: It's 115%
you can start at 105% rising by 3% each time if this setting worked. Then when you get trash try the middle... it sould give you your max setting easyly.

I just overclocked my OEM G400 32MB SH. I was suprised that it is able to operate at 200/150 so well. Although, I did add a fan to the GPU heat sink from an old 486 HSF unit I had laying in my parts bin. I ran some UT demos to stress it and so far not a hiccup. Do you think it is OK to keep running it at this level?
