  • Different backgrounds on each monitor?

    On Anandtech, http://www2.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1315&p=5

They show the Matrox Multi Display utility. I can't seem to find that anywhere, I've updated the drivers. Or is there another way to get different backgrounds?

    Thanks in advance

In your system tray is the Matrox Quickdesk icon (monitor with blue screen), right click on that and from the menu that appears select "Matrox MultiDesk" and from its submenu select "Use Matrox MultiDesk" to enable it. Once you've done that go back to the Matrox MultiDesk menu and you'll be able to select "Manage Desktops" where you'll be able to configure your seperate desktops.

Hmm just thinking about this, it may not be what you are after. MultiDesk provides multiple virtual desktops for which you can set different backgrounds. It does not allow you to set a different background on each monitor if you are using DualHead Multidisplay, Windows just sees that, as when using multiple graphics cards, as a single desktop so you can only set a global desktop background.

Thanks, I guess I'm stuck with the same background.
