• New Product: Matrox Typhoon???

    http://bizapps.matrox.com/cv_online/...sp?page=career

"Send your resume to: Matrox Typhoon"

Other listings just say to send resume to Matrox - interesting since this is in their graphics area.

Of course, this could just be the internal name of an existing group within Matrox.

    Start of more evil speculation.....

Trying to figuring out what Matrox is up to is like tying to find a road that's not on the map, at night, while wearing welders googles!

No one has a clue? (Or, maybe those who know can't tell).

Just thought it was an interesting observation...

"Typhoon" does sound like the name of a gaming video card, and since Matrox has never actually used the name "G800" (except in a driver binary)... we just might see "Matrox Typoon"s on the shelves of computer stores someday.

After all, the name "Millennium" is now passe as of January 1st.

Hey guys - I can't see it on that page - you sure?

If so, go into Work Offline mode and then do to it and save it

        Then test it and see!

At the risk of losing my job (fortunately nobody knows who I really am )

It's the next, next gen card.....built mostly on licensed bitboys and appropriated 3dfx technologies. Initial plans show it as a dual chip-quad head beast (with 2048 res @ 64bit color on all 4 heads) that will pump multi-gigapixels, run at 8x agp, 8x FSAA, T&L, 2nd gen EMBM, and cost under $200 for the 128meg model.

                  shhhhhhh.....it's a secret!

And for all you know I could be Lorne Trottier or Branco Matic.

I was thinking more along the lines of Jason DeLaRocca
