  • nvidia buys 3dfx

Well, you'll probably already knew this before you get here. And this thread will be moved to the soapbox as well but still:

    3dfx is no more.

This got to be the lamest way to get rid of competition: buy it.

    Yuch.

Actually I bet you didn't bother to read the other threads that were started about this, and most notably the one right below this one that got locked because it was a duplicate just like this one

Ah yes, that one now indeed makes sense I just heard the news..

And kruzin: this DOES has something to do with Matrox hardware: will Matrox's chipdesign be influenced by this? Or will they get their hands of the gaming-market after all?

You're grabbin at straws there. This forum is for the discussion of Matrox Hardware specifically. The possible sale of 3dfx interest to nV has nothing to do with current Matrox Hardware issues. This is a General Hardware or Soapbox topic.

and that being said....let's keep this in the existing threads already going in GH/S and TSB...there is no reason to duplicate the same thread here...
