Oh, you need to know your board model (for Marvel it s 001; 003; 007!
You can find it printed on the board!

Thank you but it is written 004 on my board.

Maybe should I tell the whole story :

This morning I turned on my computer and heard a long beep following by three short beeps (it means no video card detected).
But surprisely my screen turn on at the windows beginning.
So no video on boot but after ok.

I go to this forum and find some interesting things about bios recovery.
I go to the "matrox files" site ( http://grafi.ii.pw.edu.pl/gbm/matrox )
        and follow what is written.

In fact my bios is dead and my pin configuration too.
Using the last ver of progbios.exe I tried to recover my bios.
        But everything goes wrong :
        When I write: "progbios -i -897-19tv.bin -k"
It begins to program the bios but it comes :

        "programming in progress, please wait.
        Fail: 0x4b2d DataRead 0xca byBiosBuffer 8a
        Fail: 0x4b2d DataRead 0xca byBiosBuffer 8a

Bios has been programmed 2 times"

And when I add "-s g4mv001.txt" to the line (to recover my pin configuration), the computer is waiting indefinitely.

My warrenty is still OK but I prefered to keep my video card with me.

Another thing is that know the boot isn't ok with my marvel alone (I'm writting here using an old pci ati rage pro card........).

        I need your help please.

As you can see the only difference between Marvel PINS models is the Identification number at PIN 28!
Simply download 007 Marvel version and change to 004 at PIN 28!
Then type this command at DOS promt:
          PROGBIOS -i auto -s PINS.TXT -k

where PINS.TXT is the name of the file you downloaded!

          Try it!
ATHLON XP 2600; Abit KX7-333Raid; 1GB SDRAM DDR PC-3200 Corsair XMS; Matrox Parhelia AGP 256; HITACHI 7K250 250GB; HITACHI 120GXP 120GB; HITACHI 120GXP 60GB; Sound Blaster Audigy 2; Plextor DVDRW PX-716A; Plextor CDRW Premium

Oh, i forgot: First of all have you tried
            PROGBIOS -d>PINS.TXT ?

This command tries to dump your PINS in a TXT file even if your BIOS checksum is damaged!
If you are luckly your PINS are intact!
