  • Rumors an Inuendo!

    Greets All,

It's been a while since I've had any need to research any issues with my G400Max. You see I really wanted a little better gaming performance and an OpenGL ICD that worked in Win2k. So I made a deal with a friend and traded some older parts for a GF2. The G400Max awaits the assembly of a dedicated server as we speak.

I mainly just wanted to say how much I appreciated all of you. There certainly isn't any place like this available to those with NVidia products!! Hopefully, the rumors are true, and Matrox will release the G800 in the next few months. Then I can shuck the NV card and return to the MURC without feeling like a traitor.

Really! at the cost of being repetitious. The MURC is the best Computer Hardware community on the web. I hope you all can keep the fire going. Because I feel like I've been air-dropped in a frozen intellectual wasteland.

Cannydude, you don't have to go! Most of us need to fill that void every once in awhile, no fault of you. If that FPS need isn't there, then do what you must to fill the void. But leaving is out of the question! Once a MURCer, always a MURCer

            You are more than welcomed.

The ones we have the problems with are those that go and buy another card and then come back in here trying to convince us, or more likely themselves, that their purchase was the the best thing they could have done and the rest of us should do the same.

Yeah I haven't had a Matrox card in years, oh no I'd better not start that again

MURC is a community, you don't get exiled just cause you ain't using a Matrox board at the moment.

What they said I bought a new card but I'm not going anywhere because I feel I've invested a lot of time in MURC and made a lot of great online friends here

Ant, maybe you should post on the front page that you don't have to own a Matrox card to stop by and stay awhile.

I tend to move on to different forums after upgrading/changing hardware, but the 3dfx forums are too busy, you can't follow any threads there is so much traffic.

Besides, there is no fun in being in a forum where everyone shares your viewpoint.

The MURC is one of the classiest acts on the web right now, and accepts all comers, so long as you come in peace, hehe.

I'd hate to say it, but I'd kind of look down on someone who hasn't owned a non-matrox card at some stage of their life, cause then they wouldn't appreciate just how green this grass can be.

By the looks of what I've seen here in the 4 months I've been visiting here, there's a lot of knowledge amongst us, so there'd be no reason to never come back.

I mean, Matrox don't make sound cards, cd-roms, burners, harddrives, operating systems, scanners, printers, etc, etc, etc, By the looks of it, if you've got a problem with some hardware, there's a good chance someone else here has a similar setup and is normally willing to help you. I know I'm always ready to pass on the minimal amount of knowledge I possess.
