  • Jerky output on TV-out

    Hi,

When playing a video-file (mostly DivX encoded Avi's), the output in the window from Windows Mediaplayer is perfect, but the output on the TV-out connector of my Marvel G400 is jerky. Each 2 (maybe 3) seconds the movie seems to stutter (stop) a very short while, and then continue playing with no loss of audio/video sync. Which program I use to view the vids doesn't matter. Mediaplayer, PC-VRC remote, all the same effect. I have:

    - the Dualhead/DVDmax option enabled,
    - matrox powerdesk Revision 5.55.022 installed.
    - A Abit KT7-raid duron 700, 256MB winME soundblaster PCI128, ATA100 disks.
    - installed every one of the new drivers following instructions one of the moderators at matroxforum sent to me

What could the solution to this problem be?

    Thanks for your time,

This issue has cropped up a few times before. I never really paid much attention, cos I don't use my TV out.

I think you're avi files have been recorded at NTSC spec and you are trying to play them back on a PAL tv. The fps difference between PAL and NTSC causes the glitches.

Might want to get someone else who had this prob to confirm though, I'm really not sure.
