    we have 350 mhz g4s...and are about to buy a sony or canon DV minicam...for use with the firewire...what exactly is the problem?

      Thats pretty F'd up. I didnt know that Apple repairs broken devices rather than replacing them. Doesnt that cut the value of the computer down a notch?

      Another reason why i will never buy a Mac.

        Well,

        I wouldn't elimenate a whole class of computers based on one bad apple(pun intended). Even the most successful and reliable computers have a failure rate just fractions better than the worst. And another thing how can those Apples with those slow processors compete with PC's. I dont know alot about them( besides SCSI)

        ect....

          You get a pretty good idea of whom they are selling those, when you receive offers like I did yesterday.
